Dr King James Nkum | Board of Trustees

Dr. King James Nkum (PhD, LLM, LLB, B.L.)  is the Deputy Dean/ Head of Public Law at the Faculty of Law, Taraba State University. In addition to being a Lecturer, he is also a Lawyer, writer, entrepreneur and human rights defender. Dr King obtained his Bachelors of Law degree from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria-Nigeria in 2009 and proceeded to the Nigerian Law School where he was called to the Nigerian Bar as Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria in 2010. He then proceeded to pursue his postgraduate studies to obtained Masters and Doctorate degrees in International Law from Triune Biblical University, New York – USA from 2014-2015, and 2015-2018 respectively.

He has authored over 20 papers in both local and international journals, in addition to publishing eight (8) books to his credit. King has attended several conferences/Workshops and presented papers in both local and international fora.

As a humanitarian and human rights defender, he founded Kingsland Foundation in 2010, where he serves as Executive Director. He is a member of several professional bodies and associations. His hobbies include writing, travelling and meeting people while learning about different cultures, reading, watching moves, playing chess, golf and lawn tennis.
